The current state of affairs and prospects for strategic alliance between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were discussed at a meeting in Dushanbe

Tajikistan and Uzbekistan intend to expand cooperation in the financial sector.

As part of this, the management of the regulators Amonatbank and Halk-Bank held a meeting in Dushanbe.

This was reported by the press service of the Tajik credit organization.

The issues of establishing and strengthening cooperation were discussed by the Chairman of the Board of Amonatbank, Sirojiddin Ikromi, with the head of the Halk-Bank delegation, Dilshod Kutliev.

The financiers discussed the beginning of bilateral cooperation and the prospects for its development, including important aspects of banking, in particular, the expansion of transactions and payments in foreign currency.

Members of the delegations also touched upon the topics of finding new ways of cooperation between banks, exchanging experience in various sectors, opening correspondent accounts and creating a joint investment climate, as well as other issues related to the banking sector.

In the summer, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov visited. He was received by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

During the meeting, they touched upon issues such as the current state and prospects for strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries, as well as ways for their further development.

The meeting of bank leaders in Dushanbe included issues of starting bilateral cooperation, strengthening transactions and payments in foreign currency, as well as creating a joint investment climate.
