Tajikistan and IAEA develop relations and use of nuclear technology

During the meeting in Vienna, the potential for cooperation between Tajikistan and the IAEA was noted, as well as the high level of relations in the field of nuclear technology

Tajikistan, together with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is actively using nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

This was reported by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the republic.

Thus, the 67th session of the IAEA General Conference is taking place in Vienna, in which the delegation of Tajikistan is participating.

The Tajik representative office is headed by Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies Aziz Nazar.

During the meeting in Vienna, the potential for cooperation between Tajikistan and the IAEA was noted, as well as the high level of relations in the field of the use of nuclear technologies at present.

It is noted that the programs provided by the Atomic Energy Agency include projects in such areas as environmental protection, healthcare, and glacier conservation.

At the same time, the parties discussed the importance of restoring areas affected by uranium production in the countries of Central Asia.
