Tajik judoka win 5 medals at Asian Cup among juniors and youth

Tajik judoka won 5 medals - 1 gold and 4 bronze at the Asian Cup among juniors and youth. The gold medal in this competition was received by Ibrohimdjon Elmurodov in the weight of +100 kg among youth. This was reported to NIAT "Khovar" in the Judo Federation of Tajikistan.

Another Tajik athlete - Muhammadjon Abdujalilzoda received a bronze medal among youth in the weight of -81 kg. Three other bronze medals were won by our junior wrestlers: Loik Kutbiddinov in the weight of -55 kg, Voris Nazarov in the weight of -66 kg and Aminjon Abdullozoda in the weight of -73 kg.

381 athletes (239 boys, 142 girls) from 10 countries took part in the competitions among juniors, 299 athletes (208 boys, 91 girls) from 10 countries took part in the youth competitions.

On this trip, our athletes were accompanied by coaches David Gabaidze and Abdullo Norov.

It should be noted that participation in the tournament and other international competitions in the coming months is a stage in the preparation of the youth and youth teams of the country for the World Cup.

Recall that the World Junior Championships are scheduled for August 23-26 in Zagreb (Croatia), and among young people - on October 4-7 in the Portuguese city of Coimbra.
