Tajik business will receive investments

The Tajik authorities invited German businessmen to invest in the energy sector of the republic and the development of the "green" and digital economy

The issue of investment by German entrepreneurs was discussed during the meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan with an official delegation of German investors.

This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Republic.

It is noted that recently, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Eastern Economic Committee of Germany, Michael Harms, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Zavka Zavkizoda, and a delegation of German investors.

"The volume of foreign trade with Germany in January-June 2023 amounted to $93.9 million, which is $50 million more compared to the same period in 2022," Zavki Zavkizoda said.

He added that, given the vast resources and capabilities of the parties, this figure may increase.

In addition, during the meeting, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade asked German investors to finance areas of the national economy, including industrialization, energy, strengthening export potential, the development of a "green" and digital economy.

Recall that Russian investors plan to occupy a niche in the leather and footwear industry in Tajikistan, said the trade representative of the Russian Federation in the republic.

Only 9 enterprises specializing in the processing of raw materials operate in Tajikistan, so it is important to integrate Russian business into this sector of the country.
