Since September 2020, Tajik Air has been unable to operate regular flights due to technical and financial problems

In the next 2-3 months, the Tajik airline "Tajik Air" plans to resume flights.

This was stated by the head of the Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan Dilshod Safarzoda during a press conference.

According to him, by that time Airbus planes will be delivered to the republic, this work is carried out by the management of Tajik Air.

He explained that there are some technical issues that require time.

"I am sure that planes will arrive in the next two or three months and this company will start flights," Safarzoda said.

It should be noted that this air carrier cannot operate scheduled flights from September 2020 due to technical and financial problems.

Earlier, the board of Tajik Air submitted its proposals for the resumption of activities to the prime minister of the republic, Kahir Rasulzoda, who is the chairman of the supervisory board of this company.

In particular, it was said that the air carrier's management plans to establish cooperation with the Turkish airline Southwind on the lease of two Airbus aircraft.

After the suspension of Tajik Air flights, Somon Air is currently the only company in Tajikistan operating in the domestic and international passenger air transportation market.
