Tourism development in Uzbekistan: high results recorded in 11 months

In January–November 2025, large-scale efforts were undertaken in our country’s tourism sector, ensuring stable growth rates. Over the 11-month period, Uzbekistan was visited by 10.7 million foreign tourists (an increase of 114 percent), and the volume of exported tourism services reached 4.4 billion USD (a 144-percent increase).

Within the framework of the domestic tourism program “Travel around Uzbekistan”, residents of the country made 23.7 million trips across the regions (114.8 percent of the planned target). A total of 954 new accommodation facilities began operating in the regions, bringing their overall number to 6,861, with total capacity reaching 183.9 thousand beds. Thanks to the opening of 662 new tourism organizations and travel agencies, their total number rose to 4,348. Across the republic, 4,345 guides and tour escorts are currently active, and an additional 375 specialists were trained between January and November of this year. As a result of recommendations provided to business entities, the conditions of 784 sanitation and hygiene facilities were improved. In the investment sphere, 421 projects were implemented, creating more than 6,313 new jobs. The work carried out in the tourism sector over the 11 months of 2025 has contributed to strengthening Uzbekistan’s international image, creating new jobs, and increasing the export of services, reaffirming tourism as one of the key drivers of the country’s economy.
