Growers of Surkhandarya region were the first in Uzbekistan to fulfill the 2023 cotton delivery contractual plan. It is noted that more than 268,000 tons of raw materials were delivered to the receiving points in the region. In 2023, there will be 12 cotton-textile clusters and 2,096 farms in the region on an area of 72,270 hectares suitable for the local climate. 77", "Sultan" and early cotton varieties such as "Termiz-202", "SP-1607", "ST-1651". 1,529 squads were formed to carry out cotton harvesting in an organized manner, more than 167,000 pickers, 1,180 tractors and 1,983 trailers were involved. The contractual plan was completed in more than 30 days. At the event, the leaders of advanced sectors, clusters and farms, as well as officials who actively participated in the harvest season, were presented with certificates of honor and souvenirs from the governor of the region. Earlier, it was reported that a car was given to a farmer who was one of the first to implement the cotton plan in Surkhandarya region.
