Surkhandarya governor criticizes the transport sector

Surkhandarya Region Governor Ulugbek Kosimov sharply criticized the quality of services in the railway and aviation sectors during a meeting held in Jarkurgan district.

According to the governor, conditions for passengers on trains traveling from Surkhandarya to Tashkent do not meet the required standards. In particular, the cooling systems do not work in some carriages.

He also criticized the high cost of airline tickets and difficulties in obtaining them. According to Kosimov, ticket prices have increased by up to twofold, creating difficulties for the population, particularly low-income citizens.

Kosimov instructed the Competition Committee to conduct a comprehensive review of airline ticket prices and analyze how they are determined.

He also emphasized the need to ensure transparency in the sale of railway tickets and prevent cases where tickets are obtained through personal connections.
