At the meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the deputies elected Surayyo Rahmonova to the position of the representative of the Oliy Majlis on Children's Rights (Children's Ombudsman), and this decision was sent to the Senate. This was reported by the press service of the lower house of the parliament.

Surayyo Rahmonova received a bachelor's degree in 2000 and a master's degree in 2002 at Tashkent State Law University. Associate Professor (2015), Doctor of Legal Sciences (2018), Professor.

From 2018 to July 2019, Surayyo Rahmonova worked as the head of the Public Relations and Legal Information Department of the General Prosecutor's Office. After that, he was appointed to a new position - the head of the department of organization and coordination of information services of the Information and Mass Communications Agency of the Department of Organization and Coordination of Information Services.

In mid-September 2023, Aliya Yunusova, the Oliy Majlis representative on children's rights, announced her resignation. He thanked President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for ensuring the rights and interests of the child, paying special attention to the issues of protecting the rights and interests of the young generation, protecting motherhood and childhood.
