Fox 5 reported that pro-Palestinian protesters occupied the Cannon Rotunda, the entrance to the US Capitol complex.

According to the TV channel, several people were arrested and around the building chants of "cease fire now" can be heard.

Later, US House of Representatives Acting Speaker Patrick McHenry addressed the protesters. He hung the Israeli flag in the rotunda in front of the crowd.

Fox 13 reported that according to rally organizers, there are at least 10,000 people near the Capitol, and another 500 managed to enter the Cannon building. Protesters are calling for a ceasefire in the Middle East and demanding an end to the "ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians by the Israeli government".

We remind you that on October 17, an attack was made on the "Al-Ahli" Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip. At least 800 people died. Hamas blamed Israel for the attack, and Israel blamed Islamic Jihad.

The world community is evaluating this attack as a "terrible military massacre" and "a shame for humanity."

Uzbekistan also made a statement that "we strongly condemn this terrible act of violence and consider it a gross violation of international humanitarian law."
