The leaders of the Central Asian countries gathered in Saudi Jeddah for the first summit of the "Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf" format

The countries of Central Asia and the states of the Persian Gulf have approved a joint action plan for the period from 2023 to 2027.

According to TASS, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud explained that the plan involves working on issues of political stability, strengthening dialogue and interaction in the field of economy and investment.

The prince also urged the summit participants to intensify efforts aimed at ensuring energy and food security.

In addition, during the summit, the leaders stressed the importance of developing transport corridors between the two regions, creating strong logistics networks, as well as developing efficient systems for the exchange of goods.

The participants also agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of green energy, digital economy and innovation, in connection with which they stressed the need to attract investment for the implementation of relevant projects.

At the summit in Jeddah, they called for visa-free travel between Central Asia and the countries of the Persian Gulf
