The Ministry of poverty reduction and employment has published a draft resolution “on additional measures to support certain categories of the population in need of social protection and promote their employment.”
According to the document, from November 1, 2023 to January 1, 2025, a single subsidy of 3 times the amount of BHM (990,000) will be introduced at the expense of the state fund for employment assistance for each person released from penal institutions that have hired business entities.
In this case, the subsidy is paid after the person who is placed at work continues to work in the workplace for at least more than 3 months.
Information about the release of a citizen from penal institutions by the internal affairs bodies is provided to labor authorities.
Also, a system of constant monitoring of the employment status of persons freed from penal institutions will be introduced. In this case, the ability to determine their employment status in real time is created.
Discussion of this draft document will continue until August 4th.
In Uzbekistan, assistance money is also provided to citizens serving a prison sentence. The aid money is given to each beneficiary once to carry out his projects in areas such as entrepreneurship, architecture, crafts, to promote his social adaptation.
