Strong earthquake in the Philippines: there are victims
A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 has struck the southern Philippines. It is reported that 3-8 people have died as a result of the incident. The number of victims may increase.
Several buildings collapsed on the island of Mindanao. The earthquake was felt devastatingly in the city of General Santos, and educational institutions and some work processes were temporarily suspended in the city of Davao.
Experts also warned of the risk of a tsunami, saying that waves could be more than a meter higher than usual. The extent of damage in the regions is currently being assessed.
