Starting from April 1 of this year, a number of changes and updates will be introduced in the economy, payment systems, and trade sectors. This is stated in Presidential Decree No. PF-246.

According to the decree, from April 1 the following payments will be made only through bank cards or electronic systems:

• services provided by government bodies;
• payments for electricity, natural gas, and drinking water;
• alcoholic beverages and tobacco products;
• sales of oil and gas products at fuel stations and electric vehicle charging services;
• goods and services worth over 25 million UZS;
• purchase and sale of real estate, vehicles of categories M, N, O, and G manufactured less than 10 years ago, as well as special-purpose vehicles.

These measures aim to reduce the share of the shadow economy in GDP by 1.3 times by 2030 and increase the share of cashless payments for goods and services to 75%.
