Starting from 2029, export processes will be carried out through agrologistics centers

Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on issues of ensuring food security and developing the livestock sector. The meeting set priority tasks for stabilizing the country's food supply, improving the system of growing, storing and exporting products. In particular, the goal is to increase food exports to $10 billion by 2030 and expand the geography of exports to 100 countries.
The need to unify control in the sector and create a single system in line with international standards was also emphasized.
According to information, currently, the duplication of tasks between various departments and the lack of a single database are creating problems in export processes. In particular, it was noted that the European Union has issued 25 warnings regarding pesticide residues in products.
Therefore, it is planned to establish a new Food Safety Committee based on the principle of "from field to fork". Starting from 2029, export processes will be carried out through agrologistics centers.
Also, mandatory certification will be phased out and a risk-based control system will be introduced. In addition, the meeting considered the tasks of effective use of pastures in the livestock sector, increasing the number of cattle and sheep and goats, developing breeding, and expanding the feed base. It was decided to introduce preferential loans, subsidies, and tax breaks to support farmers. At the end of the meeting, instructions were given to implement systemic reforms in the sector and create broad opportunities for farmers and entrepreneurs.
