Special honors accorded to Shavkat Mirziyoyev during South Korea visit
Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov provided details regarding the meetings and events held during Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to South Korea.
The "Central Asia – Republic of Korea" summit took place as part of the visit. There, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the leaders of Central Asian nations to discuss the development of cooperation between their countries.
The President also met with Lee Wook-heon, the former South Korean Ambassador to Uzbekistan. Discussions focused on the friendship and cooperation between the two nations, as well as previously implemented projects.
Prior to the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev autographed a copy of the book "The Mirziyoyev Doctrine"—translated into Korean—for the Speaker of the South Korean National Assembly.
The Korean side made special preparations for the President's visit; images of the Uzbek flag were displayed on Seoul’s Lotte World Tower and the TV tower. Additionally, an airship bearing the colors of the Uzbek flag was flown, and the State Emblem and flag of Uzbekistan were projected onto the fountain in front of the presidential residence.
Sherzod Asadov described these gestures as a reflection of the Korean side's respect and hospitality toward Uzbekistan.
