In Iran, it was announced that a special "clinic" will be opened for women who violate the rules of wearing a hijab. Officially called "Hijab Refusal Clinics," these facilities provide psychological support to non-religious women and teenagers. According to Mehri Tolebiy, head of the Women's and Family Department of the Staff for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Virtues, the treatment will be voluntary. The main goal of such centers is to "restore the dignity and modesty" of Iranian women through support and "scientific" treatment.
