SpaceX and Google plan to open data centers in space
Google and SpaceX may cooperate on the creation of orbital data centers in space. According to The Wall Street Journal, the companies are discussing the placement of data centers in space using rocket launches and satellites.
According to the project, Google plans to launch satellite prototypes by 2027 as part of “Project Suncatcher”. SpaceX is expected to be a key partner in the development and launch processes of this technology.
According to experts, data centers in space can reduce the problem of lack of energy and space on Earth, because they use solar energy. So far, this project is at the stage of negotiations and testing, and final decisions have not been announced.
