South Korean President could be imprisoned

South Korean President Yun Seok-yol, whose powers were suspended, did not appear for questioning by the Anti-Corruption Bureau in a rebellion case.
The questioning was supposed to begin at 10:00 on December 18, and before that, subpoenas were sent to the president's representatives and by mail without success. The head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau said that the subpoenas were deliberately not received, that law enforcement agencies would take legal measures, and that the possibility of requesting a warrant for the president's arrest was currently being considered. The country also authorized an investigation against the first lady.

On December 14, the South Korean parliament voted to impeach President Yun Seok-yol for imposing martial law in the country on December 3. Yun Seok-yol was removed from office, but he will remain president until the Constitutional Court makes a decision. Yun Seok-yol is prohibited from leaving the country.
