The South Korean government and military are considering a plan to send intelligence officers specializing in the DPRK to Ukraine. If North Korean soldiers are captured by Ukrainian forces, South Korean personnel in Ukraine will conduct interrogations or translate. The staff will also brief Kiev on North Korea's military tactics, doctrine and operations.

The country's Ministry of Defense announced that it will consider measures to supply weapons to Ukraine. Until now, Seoul has provided only humanitarian aid to Kiev.
