Son Who Beat His Father to Death Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison

In Kazakhstan’s Turkistan Region, 41-year-old citizen Almas Sadakbayev was sentenced to five years in prison for beating his father and causing his death.

The tragedy came to light through videos secretly recorded by neighbors in September last year. The footage shows the man beating his elderly father in the yard of their home. According to investigators, he became angry because his father, who had been ill and unable to move independently since 2020, could not go to the toilet on his own.

The man told the court that he has underage children, is responsible for supporting them, and regrets what he did, asking for leniency. By court verdict, the defendant was sentenced to five years in prison.
