Earlier it was reported that in Kazakhstan’s Turkistan region, a son beat his elderly father to death. The 41-year-old man severely assaulted and tortured his father. The incident was recorded by neighbors and, after the old man’s death, the video was shared on social media, causing a strong public outcry.

During the court hearing, the prosecutor requested a sentence of six years and two months in prison for the accused. The defendant, in tears, said that he deeply regretted his actions, could not bear the shame, and apologized to the entire people of Kazakhstan.

He also stated that he has underage children from two marriages and is responsible for supporting them, while his current wife is not working due to the children’s young age, and asked the court to take these circumstances into account. The verdict is expected to be announced in the coming days.
