SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz signed a cooperation agreement

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Uzbekneftegaz signed an agreement on cooperation in the oil and gas sector on Monday, SOCAR said.

As noted in the state company, the signing of a document on the participation of Uzbekneftegaz in oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan and a cooperation agreement on SOCAR's participation in oil and gas projects in Uzbekistan took place within the Azerbaijani-Uzbek business forum in Baku.

The document was signed by representatives of SOCAR, Uzbekneftegaz and the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan.

In addition, within the framework of the event, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Bakhodirjon Sidikov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz, during which the parties discussed the current state and future prospects for cooperation between companies in the field of trade and logistics of oil, petrochemicals, gas chemistry and other oil products and preparation frames.

According to the Ministry of Economy, within the framework of the business forum, cooperation agreements were also signed between Baku and Tashkent in the fields of metallurgy, accreditation, energy and pharmaceuticals.
