Short number 1246 launched for reporting violence against children
A call center with the short number 1246 has been launched in Uzbekistan to report instances of violence, cruel treatment, or neglect regarding children, as well as situations threatening their lives or health. According to the National Agency for Social Protection, reports concerning physical, psychological, or sexual violence against children can be made via this number. Reports are accepted, and the confidentiality of the caller's identity is guaranteed. The 1246 call center is currently operating in test mode.
