Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit China in October this year.
This was announced in the greetings of the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on the occasion of the Independence Day of Uzbekistan.

"I look forward to your coming to China again in October of this year to participate in the third international cooperation forum "One Place, One Road", said the congratulatory text of the PRC leader.

Xi Jinping added that he attaches great importance to China-Uzbekistan relations.

"I attach special importance to China-Uzbekistan relations. I highly value our partnership and personal friendship established with you. I am ready to cooperate with you for the stable and consistent development of the comprehensive strategic partnership of our countries and to give a new impetus to the construction of the Chinese-Uzbek community," he said.

The One Place One Road initiative is a global infrastructure development strategy adopted by the Chinese government in 2013 to invest in nearly 150 countries and international organizations. It is a central part of Chinese leader Xi Jinping's foreign policy.

The initiative was included in the Chinese Constitution in 2018. At the time, Xi Jinping's administration called the initiative "strengthening regional ties and striving for a brighter future."
