Shavkat Mirziyoyev: We will accelerate work on turning Tashkent into one of the megacities with clean air

Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - Shavkat Mirziyoyev, candidate for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, met with the voters of Tashkent on July 5.
The meeting was opened by Rustam Kalonov, the representative of the candidate from the city of Tashkent. It was noted that under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, major reforms have been carried out in our capital, Tashkent is becoming a center of science and a metropolis, developing in every possible way.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, presented his election program.

The candidate for the first time spoke about his plans to "green" the capital in the next seven years.

- Today, green spaces in our capital are 900 hectares. In the next seven years, we will increase this area by 5 times to 5,000 hectares. For this, at least 1 million ornamental and fruit trees and cuttings are planted annually throughout the city; 1,000 tree seedlings will be planted in each microdistrict; Green and "thematic" parks will be created on an area of 4000 hectares in the Yashnabad, Yangikhet, Sergeli and Mirzo-Ulugbek regions.

In addition, 100 kilometers of bicycle paths, 32 parks, 30 green areas and alleys will be built throughout the city, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

It was reported that it was planned to build a large “Aquapark” on an area of 50 hectares in the new Tashkent region, 200 million dollars would be allocated for these purposes.

The candidate also said that an artificial lake with a total area of 35 hectares will be created on the territory of New Tashkent, all conditions have been created for the cultural recreation of our people.
