Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Slovenia

On May 22, Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid his first official visit to the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. The President and his wife were warmly welcomed by Slovenian President Natasha Pirs Musar. The leaders of the two states discussed issues of further developing cooperation in the political, economic and cultural spheres.
It is planned to increase the volume of trade between the two countries, expand logistics capabilities, strengthen cooperation in the fields of labor migration, education and tourism. It is also planned to hold a forum on youth innovative projects in Tashkent next year and activate cultural exchanges.
The first meeting of the intergovernmental commission will be held in Ljubljana in July. Mirziyoyev invited the President of Slovenia to pay a return visit to Uzbekistan.
