At the John Kennedy International Airport, he was greeted by Paolo Zampolli, special representative of the president of the United States for global partnerships, Carolyn Lemm, chairman of the American–Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, and other officials.

The head of state speaks at the general debate of the UN General Assembly, and also holds meetings with leaders of a number of foreign countries, heads of international organizations and financial structures. Meetings and round tables are also planned with leaders of large US corporations and representatives of leading companies.
