Shavkat Mirziyoyev traveled by electric train from Tashkent to Bekobod

The President traveled by electric train from Tashkent to the city of Bekobod, where he inspected the work carried out on this route and the new rail service. Plans are in place to serve approximately 1,000 passengers daily—and up to 300,000 annually—along the 192-kilometer "Tashkent–Bekobod" route. The six-car electric train has a capacity of 586 passengers and can reach speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour.
The train is equipped with special lifts for passengers with disabilities, air conditioning and heating systems, USB charging ports, Wi-Fi, a video surveillance system, and designated areas for bicycles.
During the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev issued instructions to officials regarding the development of railway infrastructure, the enhancement of passenger amenities, the electrification of lines, and the further improvement of service quality at railway stations.
