Shavkat Mirziyoyev started his visit to Samarkand by visiting the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari

Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Samarkand region on August 24, the press service of the President reports.

The head of state first went to Payarik district and visited the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari. The Qur'an was recited and prayers were recited.

"O God, may our prayers be answered, may God keep our country in peace, and bless us with grace and blessings. Here we are on the eve of the 32nd anniversary of our independence. We are thankful that we have reached these days together with our people. We have big plans ahead of us. For this, we need to do twice as much and pay attention to the education of young people. If we increase education and knowledge in all areas, the results will be high. We want our youth to be worthy of our grandfathers like Imam Bukhari and Mirza Ulugbek," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It was noted that it was noted that it was necessary to create an example of Islamic enlightenment in Samarkand, just like in Bukhara. Using the legacy of scholars, instructions were given to strengthen enlightenment against ignorance and protect young people from the influence of foreign ideas.

Nowadays, the Imam Bukhari complex is being rebuilt. The head of state inspected samples of finishing work.

When Shavkat Mirziyoyev went on a practical visit to Samarkand region in August 2022, he proposed to establish an electronic museum near the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari.
