Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Dushanbe began with a meeting with Imamali Rahmon

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan discussed current issues of bilateral relations.
The visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Dushanbe began with a meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

Current issues of further strengthening of strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were discussed.

Special attention was paid to the practical aspects of the implementation of high-level agreements, first of all, to the promotion of cooperation projects in the priority sectors of the economy and the expansion of the cultural-humanitarian exchange program. It was noted that the joint intergovernmental commission is working effectively in this regard.

At the meeting, the heads of state exchanged views on issues included in the agenda of the next consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries and the summit of the International Fund for Saving the Island. Other aspects of regional cooperation were also considered.
