Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s State Visit to Pakistan Begins

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Islamabad on February 5 for a state visit. In Pakistan’s airspace, fighter jets escorted the high-ranking guest. At Nur Khan Airport, the head of state was welcomed by Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and other officials.

Today, Mirziyoyev will hold talks with Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and participate in the first session of the High Council for Strategic Cooperation. On February 6, the president is scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and attend the Uzbekistan–Pakistan Business Forum.
