Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the head of Qatar's leading investment holding

As part of the business program of the state visit to Qatar, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Director of the Qatar Investment Agency Bandar bin Saud Al Soni. This was reported by the press service of the president.

The agency is one of the leading global investment holdings with extensive experience in promoting large-scale projects in the fields of industry, infrastructure, energy, real estate, and electronic technologies. The head of the office is also the chairman of the Qatar Central Bank.

At the meeting, the issues of attracting direct investments of the agency to construction of "green" energy facilities in Uzbekistan - solar and wind farms, modernization of transport infrastructure, including construction of modern air terminals and other investment projects were considered. .

Interest has been expressed in developing advanced banking and financial services, including within the framework of Islamic finance programs.

A bilateral group meeting will be held soon to implement joint projects.
