On October 8, Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, held in Turkmenistan.

The President put forward a number of initiatives to foster regional cooperation. Specifically, proposals were made to expand trade and investment, implement joint industrial projects, and develop transport and logistics infrastructure.

Attention was also focused on strengthening cooperation in the fields of energy, water resources, ecology, and critical minerals. Proposals included creating a joint concept for "green" energy and developing a unified digital map of critical mineral reserves in Central Asia.

Mirziyoyev also proposed establishing a shared computing infrastructure based on artificial intelligence and big data, as well as developing a regional atlas of high-demand professions.

A proposal was also made to host a Central Asia-Azerbaijan business forum in Khiva in 2027. At the conclusion of the summit, the heads of state adopted a joint statement and signed a number of documents.
