Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that Uzbekistan and Central Asia are becoming independent centers of economic growth.
The President also called Russia a strategic partner of Uzbekistan, noting that over the past 10 years, the volume of mutual trade has increased from $4 billion to $13 billion. It was also noted that the value of joint projects with Russia has exceeded $50 billion.
Mirziyoyev also announced that the construction of the first hybrid nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan has begun with Russian participation. He said that the project will serve to increase the country's energy potential and introduce new technologies.
