Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the EAEU summit

On December 21, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg as an observer state.
The summit discussed issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation, industrial cooperation, transport and digitalization. Uzbekistan's trade with the EAEU countries has doubled over the past four years, approaching $20 billion.
The meeting decided to start negotiations on the exchange of information between Uzbekistan and the EAEU on goods and vehicles crossing customs borders.
The President put forward initiatives to eliminate trade barriers, harmonize standards, jointly develop industrial projects, and introduce digital platforms, and stressed Uzbekistan's firm commitment to expanding comprehensive, mutually beneficial cooperation with the EAEU.
