Shavkat Mirziyoyev offered to accept a long-term investment program with Nebras Power

After arriving in Doha on October 1, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of the Board of Nebras Power Company Muhammad al-Hajri. This was reported by the President's press service.

Nebras Power is Qatar's leading energy corporation. The company has implemented large projects in more than ten countries.

It was noted that the meeting discussed the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of energy, first of all, in the promotion of new projects in alternative energy.

Mirziyoyev noted that the implementation of the construction project of a modern power plant with a capacity of 1.6 GW based on steam-gas technologies with the participation of the Qatari company has begun in Sirdarya region.

Preparations for the construction of a thermal power plant in Surkhandarya region are being completed.

At the meeting, joint plans to create 600 MW energy storage systems in the Tashkent region and launch a 1 GW wind power plant in Karakalpakstan were discussed.

An agreement was reached on the adoption of a long-term partnership program, including promising projects related to "green" energy.
