Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Vladimir Putin in Moscow

On May 8, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting in Moscow.
The heads of state first of all congratulated each other on the 81st anniversary of the Victory. During the conversation, issues of further development of strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed.
The parties noted the increasing volume of mutual trade, the successful implementation of joint projects in the industrial, energy and metallurgical sectors.
Special attention was also paid to expanding interregional cooperation, maintaining trade momentum, and developing cultural and humanitarian ties.
The meeting also exchanged views on issues of international and regional importance.
