Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Uzbeks living in the USA

As part of a practical visit to the USA, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met on September 18 with a group of compatriots living and working in the United States, as well as fellows of the El-Yurt Umid Foundation, who are studying at leading higher education institutions of this country.

At the event, which took place in the form of an open and lively dialogue, the head of state spoke about the development strategy of New Uzbekistan, drawing attention to the great potential of the countrymen in helping the modernization of the country.

It was emphasized that compatriots and organizations that unite them make a great contribution to the development of Uzbekistan-USA cooperation, which has reached an unprecedented high level.

The head of state put forward a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening relations with compatriots and supporting the activities of their public associations. It is planned to develop a set of special tourism services for the organization of Uzbek language courses abroad, and for compatriots to visit the historical cities of Uzbekistan.

- Every compatriot should feel the results of the reforms we are carrying out in education, medicine, economy in his life. We need to create all the conditions so that highly qualified specialists like you, who have studied abroad, worked in large companies and gained experience, can return to our country and take part in building New Uzbekistan with all their potential, - said the president. - Today, I was very happy to see the strong sense of the Motherland and the desire to contribute to its development in every Uzbek here. The participants of the meeting noted that the fundamental and large-scale reforms implemented by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev serve to increase the welfare of the people and raise the prestige of the country in the international arena.

Compatriots working in large companies and studying at prestigious higher education institutions expressed their opinions and suggestions. Opinions were exchanged on various issues of public life and economy.
