Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Vietnam, Vo Van Txiong, as part of a practical visit to China

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Xiong as part of a practical visit to China.

First of all, issues of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade and economic sphere were discussed between the two countries.

It should be noted that Vietnam is an important traditional partner of Uzbekistan in the Asia-Pacific region. In recent years, dialogues at various levels have become more active, the volume of mutual trade and the number of joint ventures are increasing. Projects are being implemented in the fields of agriculture and fisheries.

It was noted that there are opportunities for our leading companies to cooperate in the oil and gas complex, machine-building, electrical engineering, chemistry, textile, footwear, furniture-making, food and other sectors, including within the framework of special economic zones and industrial parks.

Also, the leaders of Uzbekistan and Vietnam emphasized the importance of developing exchanges in the fields of culture, education and tourism.
