uring his visit to Samarkand, the President visited several sacred and historically significant sites. The head of state first arrived at the Hazrat Khizr complex, where he laid flowers at the mausoleum of the First President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov. Verses from the Holy Qur’an were recited, followed by prayers for national prosperity, peace, and the well-being of the people.

The President then inspected the extensive construction and renovation works underway at the Mahdumi A’zam complex. He became acquainted with projects aimed at restoring the area, improving facilities for pilgrims, and preserving as well as developing the spiritual and historical heritage.

These visits once again highlighted the importance of Samarkand’s cultural legacy, the preservation of sacred values, and the role of such initiatives in promoting religious and cultural tourism.
