Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Astana at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
As part of the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the Regional Ecological Summit exhibition organized at the EXPO International Exhibition Center in Astana. Along with the Central Asian countries, delegations from Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia are also participating in the event.
The exhibition presented priority areas such as climate change, environmental safety, waste management, conservation of natural resources and the "green" economy.
Special attention was also paid to the Aral Sea problem and regional environmental cooperation.
A number of important documents are expected to be adopted at the end of the summit.
