Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Azerbaijan: Strategic cooperation at a new stage

On July 2, Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid an official visit to Baku. The presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan held the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council and signed documents aimed at strengthening allied relations. The parties reached a "road map" for 2025-2029, plans for cooperation in such areas as industrial cooperation, agriculture, education, ecology, shipbuilding, social protection, as well as interregional brotherhood agreements.
As part of the visit, the construction of the "Uzbekistan" park on an area of ​​​​8.5 hectares in Baku was launched and a new embassy building was opened. Joint cultural and youth events were scheduled to be held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
Today, July 3, the presidents will continue their dialogue in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, where they will visit the joint garment factory in Khankendi and the historical and architectural complex "Imorat" in the city of Agdam.
