Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds the VI Open Dialogue with Entrepreneurs

Today, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held the traditional VI Open Dialogue with entrepreneurs in Khorezm. This was reported by Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.

Around 500 entrepreneurs participated in person, while for the first time, nearly 25,000 business representatives joined from studios in the districts.

The President put forward important initiatives aimed at:

– ensuring a sustainable growth trajectory for entrepreneurship;

– expanding business opportunities in the regions;

– creating an ecosystem of “artificial intelligence – management efficiency – new investments”;

– increasing export potential and taking national brands to international markets;

– sharply reducing administrative pressure on businesses.

It was noted that since the tradition of holding open dialogues with entrepreneurs began five years ago, thousands of issues hindering businesses have been resolved. During this period, 84 laws and 861 decrees and resolutions were adopted.

Over the past period, the loan portfolio allocated to businesses has nearly tripled, reaching 450 trillion soums. Entrepreneurs have benefited from 650 trillion soums in tax and customs incentives.

Many business representatives independently attracted $1 billion from foreign banks to finance their projects.

Over the past five years, enterprises’ investment in fixed capital has tripled, reaching 363 trillion soums. The number of districts with industrial output exceeding $100 million increased from 66 to 116.

Driven by the rapid development of information technology, fintech and other service sectors, the number of districts where the volume of services exceeded 1 trillion soums increased from 41 to 152. Meanwhile, 3,500 companies are currently working with leading international marketplaces.

The number of entrepreneurs who started their businesses in local communities and expanded to dozens of branches across Uzbekistan has exceeded 550, while the number of entrepreneurs who have created national brands has surpassed 300.

In recent years, the supply of copper, gold, rolled metal, polyethylene, PVC, kaolin and other raw materials has increased. As a result, major breakthroughs have been achieved in such sectors as electrical engineering, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, textiles and furniture manufacturing.

New industries have also emerged, including electric vehicles, polymers and household chemicals, green energy and jewelry manufacturing. Modern automotive plants such as BYD, ADM Jizzakh and Sirdaryo Asaka Motors have brought new expertise and technologies to the sector.
