Issues of further development of multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany were discussed at the meeting.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz within the framework of the first "Central Asia - Germany" summit in Berlin on September 29.
Current aspects of bilateral relations were considered, issues of further development of multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany were discussed. Special attention was paid to expansion of partnership in the field of business, deepening of cooperation in economy, investment, transport, energy and other fields.
It was noted that the official visit of the head of Uzbekistan to Berlin in May this year gave a strong impetus to the activation of bilateral relations.
The head of state regularly holds joint economic events, development of alternative energy, digitization of agriculture and water resources management, deep processing of raw materials, expansion of financial instruments, strengthening of relations between the regions of the two countries, migration and mobility. put forward a number of specific proposals for cooperation in the field.
It was noted that both sides are interested in the development of cultural and humanitarian exchange, implementation of joint programs in the fields of science and education.
They exchanged views on ensuring regional security, including the development of the situation in Afghanistan.
At the end of the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited Olaf Shols to visit Uzbekistan.
