Shavkat Mirziyoyev finished his practical visit to the USA and returned to Tashkent

After the eventful program of the practical visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the USA, the head of state returned to Tashkent on September 21.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave a speech at the general political debates of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York City, he emphasized the large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan and promoted a number of initiatives aimed at solving the most pressing issues of the global and regional agenda.

The first summit of the leaders of the Central Asian countries and the USA in the "C5+1" format was held. Shavkat Mirziyoyev and US President Joseph Biden discussed current issues of interstate and regional cooperation in a bilateral meeting.

In addition, the head of state, the President of the Council of Europe, Charles Michel, the President of Korea, Yoon Seok-yol, the Acting Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar Kakar, as well as the heads of influential international organizations, such as UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgiyeva, and the head of the World Trade Organization. held talks with Director Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, World Bank Group President Adjaye Banga, FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The press service of the President noted that the business program of the visit was full of events. The leader of Uzbekistan met with the delegation of US business representatives headed by Carolyn Lemm, the chairperson of the Uzbekistan-American Chamber of Commerce, and the heads of large multinational companies and corporations — Air Products, Citigroup, SNH, Boston Consulting Group, GE HealthCare, Oppenheimer, Cerberus, Cintana.

After the events of the visiting program, Shavkat Mirziyoyev returned to Tashkent.
