On June 29, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the press service of the president reports.
It is reported that at the beginning of the conversation, the head of state warmly congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday and wished him good health, happiness and great success, peace and prosperity to the fraternal Turkmen people.
His significant contribution to the development of modern Turkmenistan, strengthening of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between the countries was particularly noted.
The message notes that the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan also congratulated each other on Eid al-Adha. Shavkat Mirziyoyev also congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the official opening of the new city of Arkadag.
During the dialogue, issues of further expansion of multilateral cooperation between the countries in the field of trade, investment, industry, energy, agriculture and transport were discussed. It was noted that effective dialogues, interregional and cultural and humanitarian exchanges have intensified at all levels.
Topical aspects of regional cooperation are considered.
