Shavkat Mirziyoyev communicated with Serdar Berdimuhamedov by phone

The head of state congratulated the president and people of Turkmenistan on the upcoming Independence Day.
On September 22, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation.

The head of state congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday and wished him great success, well-being and prosperity to the brotherly Turkmen people.

Current issues of bilateral relations and regional cooperation were discussed.

It was noted that constructive political dialogue and effective interdepartmental relations are developing. The volume of mutual trade is increasing, the project of establishing the border trade zone "Khorazm-Tashovuz" is being implemented jointly. Cooperation in the fields of energy and transport is being strengthened. Days of Turkmen culture will be held in the capital in October.

The presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan exchanged views on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in Central Asia, including within the framework of current multilateral formats.

At the end of the telephone conversation, the head of state congratulated the President and the people of Turkmenistan on the upcoming Independence Day.
