The President of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of further expansion of international cooperation in the field of popularization of ethnic sports.
On September 8, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by the chairman of the World Ethnosports Confederation Najmuddin Bilal Erdoğan.
Opinions were exchanged on issues of further development and popularization of national sports and folk games.
At the beginning of the meeting, Bilal Erdoğan conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the leader of Uzbekistan.
Sincere gratitude was expressed for the support and high level organization of the International Ethnosports Festival, which was held for the first time in the city of Khiva with the participation of almost 2,000 athletes from more than 60 countries.
Development of educational programs based on the joint "road map", exchange of experience, training of specialists, coaches and referees, and expansion of cooperation on wide involvement of young people in ethno-sports were discussed in the conversation.
