Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the World Urbanization Forum in Baku

Yesterday, the President visited Baku at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. On May 18, Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the opening ceremony of the 13th session of the World Urbanization Forum, which is being held in Baku under the auspices of the UN Human Settlements Program.
The head of state was welcomed at the Baku Congress Center by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Executive Director of UN-Habitat, Anaclaudia Rossbach. An official photo session was also held as part of the event.
The main theme of the forum is “Housing for All: Safe and Sustainable Cities and Communities,” and representatives of various countries and international organizations are participating in it.
The agenda includes issues such as sustainable development of cities, provision of affordable and modern housing, improvement of urban infrastructure, strengthening climate resilience, and improving the housing financing system.
